  • Step-By-Step How To for ECES PLUS Self Account Creation

      Before following these instructions, you must have a CU identikey.

      If you do not have a CU identikey, please go here to find out about getting one.

    1. Use an SSL enabled web browser to go to:
      plus.colorado.edu

    2. Choose "Log-On" from the menu on the left, and enter your CUID and PIN.

    3. Choose "E-mail & Passwords" from the menu on the left.

    4. Click on the "Go" button next to "Specialty Accounts".

    5. Re-enter your CUID and PIN.

    6. Create your account on ECES.

    7. Read the policies and information page and press "Submit".

    8. Set your password and press "Submit".

      AT THIS POINT, PLEASE LIMIT YOUR PASSWORD TO UPPERCASE LETTERS, LOWERCASE LETTERS, AND NUMBERS. USE ONLY 8 CHARACTERS FOR YOUR INITIAL PASSWORD.

      If you prefer to use punctuation in your password, follow these instructions to reset your password to whatever you want: http://eces.colorado.edu/unixpass.html

    9. Try logging into eces.colorado.edu with an SSH client.
