  • Step-By-Step Procedure for Requesting an ECES Account

      To be eligible for an account on ECES, you must be either a current ECE Major, a current ECE Graduate Student, or currently registered for a course which requires access to one of the ECE Instructional Laboratories.

      Before following these instructions, you must have a CU identikey.

      If you do not have a CU identikey, please go here to find out about getting one.

    1. Send the following information to ecehelp@colorado.edu:

      Your identikey username.

      Your full name.

      Your basis for eligiblity: ECE Major/Grad student or currently registered course requiring an ECES account.

    2. You will receive an immediate response acknowledging that we have received your request.

    3. Within 2 working days, you should receive an additional response stating whether we were able to verify your eligibility for an ECES account.

    4. If we determined that you ARE NOT eligible for the account, you will be given an explanation and offered the chance to provide additional information.

    5. If we determined that you ARE eligible for the account, you will receive instructions stating that you may pickup your initial ECES password from the ECE Front Desk in ECEE 1B55 during regular ECE business hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm.

      You must present a valid Photo ID to pickup your initial ECES password.

      Passwords will NOT be sent via e-mail or given out over the phone.
